Description

Challenge 15:

Crossover with another fandom! Pick a character and put him/her in a default costume of an entirely different fandom.

I'll be needing to explain this one a bit XD
I picked the crossover with the last movie of Pride and Prejudice. Why? well.... because Eizen's character trades are a lot like that of Mr. Darcy and because Velvet looks a whole lot like Elizabeth Bennet.
I mean... take a look...

And because my favourite movie meets my favourite game this way :3

and for the complete reference list: this is the game model of Eizen:

and so I drew something resembling the most iconic scene of that movie but with the crossover characters (all dressed and styled up!) :D
It wasn't about copying (since on set they cheat with the lighting anyways!!!) but instead to capture the essence of that scene which is timid yet so romantic and full of longing :3

- now some artsy stuff -
Drawn with watercolor and indian ink, brushes used for both mediums.
I chose only their faces because this picture is about detail and expression. Drawing a full body with the size of paper (A4) I have available, doesn't allow me to add an appropiate amount of detailing in the faces. So bear with me until I have the money together to buy bigger sheets of aquarelle paper ;)

all challenges:
[4/22] ART CHALLENGE - fandom based! And I pick the Tales of fandom!
surprise....
Basically all these prompts will be fulfilled with Tales of characters for me :3
The next edition might feature Kuroshitsuji, Pokémon or The Legend of Zelda characters, if there will be a second round XD
Here's a list of what challenges are ahead. Not gonna do one day each as a rule. I'll do them whenever I have time :3
Feel free to doodle along or suggest characters for the challenges :3 I wrote down some initial ideas I had in brackets :D
Challenge 1:
costume swap: put a female character in a male's costume that matches their vibe! (Cheria in Jude's costume, suggested by :iconGi1t: )
Challenge 2:
Create a run-down, laid back costume for a usually fashionable character.
(Get ready, Zelos!)
Challenge 3:
Create a badass costume for an otherwise cute or modest character!
(Laphi, Sophie or Estelle would all work )
Challenge 4:

Hi, greetings here. Well, first of all, your drawing here looks very good and the colouring, especially around the borders of their clothes, are pretty darn good! It surprises me how well you managed to paint the hair and skin (I wouldn't even be able to do a little fur texture...), but something that bothers me are their poses, they look kind of awkward and unnatural, as if they were made of something similar to plastic. Another thing that kind of also bothers me is how the boy's hair tips flow. They look very, very repetitive and i should remind you that hair flows in many ways, let me pick up an example for you.
www.mens-hairstylists.com/wp-c…
It looks like you tried doing the long hairstyle with straight bangs- But don't take "straight bangs" literally! They will curve a little in different places and rotations. Here, they're slightly curvy, yes, that's okay, but the problem is that they curve to one side only, while they should be curving towards different sides- Like what i showed you in the picture link above this text.
Another little thing i noticed is the girl's left eye seems kinda off, as if it was being forced to bend towards the rest of the face- That's not good. The eyelashes bend wayyyy too much up, making it look bad. Making the eyelashes more straight on the left side would of have saved you this small review on how you drew it- But, everybody learns from their errors!
As regardings the clothing- I really like them. They look as if they were drawn off a photo, really natural and "floppy", making it look good.
Actually... This pic kind of reminds me of Adrian and Marinette from Miraculous Ladybug!- +10 points for that haha!
